REDWOOD COAST MOUNTAIN BIKE ASSOCIATION
Redwood Coast Mountain Bike Association (RCMBA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and chapter club of the North West Regional Division of the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA), and is dedicated to building, maintaining, and advocating for sustainable mountain bike trails and bike parks in the Northern California region. RCMBA works with local land managers, governments, and the community to maintain and increase access for mountain biking in the region. It is our goal to promote opportunities that contribute to an active and healthy community.
HATCHERY RIDGE TRAIL RESTRICTIONS
Beginning June 29, 2026 until mid-November 2026 (or unless noted otherwise) trail access at the Hatchery Ridge (Blue Lake) Trail System will be limited to weekdays after 5pm and weekends only. Green Diamond Resource Company (GDRC) has asked for these restrictions while they conduct nearby logging operations (not on the trail system itself), and it is imperitive to our long-standing partnership with GDRC that we abide by their wishes. This is for the safety of everyone due to heavy machinery, logging trucks, tree falling, etc.
Anyone caught riding during the restricted times (3am - 5pm weekdays) will be trespassing and their membership will be terminated.
Please help us protect our ongoing relationship with GDRC and our beloved trail system by respecting all closure times, signs, and restricted areas.

How did we get here? Building Together is the story of how the Humboldt mountain bike community went from trespass building to organizing and building legal trails in partnership with local governments and private land owners. Behind the scenes at RCMBA are volunteers dedicating thousands of hours to advocate, fundraise, plan, and build trails for the mountain bike community at large. The reality is it takes money to build trails and bike parks as well as maintain them on a yearly basis. 2026 RCMBA Golden Hour
RCMBA Member Movie Night and Fundraiser
RCMBA would like to introduce a brand new event for 2026: RCMBA Golden Hour! We are calling on our members to submit their mountain bike videos and photos that will be watched live and voted on by the audience. Come support our mountain bike community and local film makers while enjoying incredible raffles, beer, and amazing food at the Arcata Theater Lounge on January 21st, 2027! Be a part of this truly one-of-kind event! All proceeds from this fundraising event will be donated to the development of the McKay Bike Park. See you there!
Please keep videos under 3 minutes and no more than 6 minutes. Videos mountain bike related and must be shot by RCMBA members on local trails and in the year 2026. Videos should be submitted in 1080p resolution and MP4, MOV, or MKV formats.
Categories will include Audience Favorite, Youth (Under 18), Most Creative, Best Cinematography, and Most Impressive Riding.
Prefer photography? Submit your favorite mountain bike photo shot by an RCMBA member on local trails and in the year 2026. Photos will be voted on by the audience. Top 12 photos will be included in a 2027 calendar which can be purchased after the event!
Top three videos and photos win cash prizes!
Submissions must be entered no later than December 31, 2026.

McKay Bike Park
This Fall Cam Zink, 2X Red Bull Rampage winner, and his crew at Sensus R.A.D. Trails are coming to town to break ground on an epic, one-of-kind bike park in the McKay Community Forest, Eureka, CA. RCMBA has secured the dirt and all systems are go! Keep an eye out for volunteer work days. Consider making a donation, because we need your help to make this dream a reality!

Hatchery Ridge Blue Lake
We’ve been seriously busy giving Hatchery Ridge a tune-up for the 2026 riding season. Check out the improvements on Something Good, Dollywood, Puffin, and Rat Tunnel. Thank you to Steve Pearl and his crew for giving Upper Cobbler a new and improved re-route!
Trail work days are scheduled for the third Sunday of every month.

Lindsey Creek Mckinnelyville
RCMBA has a formal agreement with Green Diamond Resource Company and The Northeast Regional Land Trust to build trails on the Lindsey Creek Conservation Easement. The Easement is private property and accessible to RCMBA members only. Under our agreement motorized devices (SuRons, e-dirt bikes, OneWheels, etc.) are not permitted on this trail system. Thank you for your understanding.
Trail days are scheduled for the first Saturday of every month.

Blue Lake Bike Park
The City of Blue Lake is diligently working on the completion of the bike park and RCMBA has been busy advocating and fundraising for this project. Please consider making a donation to help complete this truly one-of-a-kind bike park!

Willow Creek Bike Park
This summer RCMBA partnered with the Willow Creek Community Services District to facilitate the renovation and expansion of a bike park located at Veteran’s Park. The Redding Trail Alliance took the lead on constructing this truly epic project which was unveiled during Willow Creek’s Bigfoot Daze community festival. Come check this incredible new bike park!
