Updates:

July 11, 2025 - The Beginner Race meeting time has changed. The Beginner Race meeting will be at the Kiosk at 8:50. This will permit racers more time to get up the hill and possibly watch some of the Expert/Sport categories racing Stage 1 or Stage 2. Any Beginner racer is welcome at the earlier meeting as well if you want to head up even earlier.

July 10, 2025 - The taping and trailwork for the race is complete except for some of the taping on the road for Stage 1 and 5.

July 8, 2025 - Link to the Spectator Map added. The Spectator Map provides some insight into where racers will be and when. The map also includes some specific features such as road crossings, jumps, and drops but the action should be great wherever you choose. There some Do’s and Don’ts to review as well. These racers are moving fast. It is your responsibility to keep you and them safe.

As mentioned elsewhere, Expert and Sport categories will race all five stages (1-5) in order. The beginner category will race three stages (3-5). For stages 3-5, the beginner category will go first. A sweep rider will follow the last beginner to make sure all beginners are finished before we send the other categories.

The order of racers for the Beginner categories will be as follows: Male 14-18, Male 10-13, Female 14-18, Female 10-13, Male U10, and Female U10.

The order of racers for the Expert and Sport categories will be as follows: Expert Male 14-18, Expert Male 10-13, Sport Male 14-18, Sport Male 10-13, Expert Female 14-18, Expert Female 10-13, Sport Female 14-18, Sport Female 10-13.

If a racers has a delay (e.g. mechanical), they can start a stage out of the above order unless the stage has closed, a schedule will be posted the morning of the race to help racers stay on time.

As an all volunteer event, we often don’t have time to take photos. If you get some good photos and are willing to share them (QR code on map to upload them to our server) or tag us (IG @RCMBA and/or #RRE), that would be very much appreciated.

July 7, 2025 - We made good progress this weekend, but some items remain to be finished. A lot of the signs to help you navigate the race have been installed, but not all of them. The ones still to be installed are located at the finish lines and along the road to help you move to the next stage. We hope to have those installed tomorrow night.

Pickles update: The extension has been worked on and is running well. We may do a few more tweaks. Note, there is a step down (aka jump) on the trail. It is marked with two pink pin flags. The feature is rollable (meaning you don’t have to jump) on the right side of the pin flags. As always, pre-ride, re-ride, and then free-ride. Expert and Sport class, be sure to check this feature out on practice day (Stage 1).

Taping: Some of the course has already been taped to help you know where to go. We will continue to add more up to the shuttles beginning on practice day. We can’t block off trails (e.g. where we turn off one trail and onto another) until practice day.

Volunteers: This will be mentioned several times, but please remember to thank the volunteers that come out to help. This is a 100% volunteer event (currently more volunteers than racers :)). We have just about all the positions covered but if you see someone who needs a hand, please chip in.

July 4, 2025 - Race weekend schedule updated. Race Package uploaded. Standalone race maps uploaded (georeferenced and can be used with Avenza, or similar). Results links added. On the schedule you will see that there will be a soft opening of the Blue Lake Bike Park. The park is not complete, but we along with the City thought it would be a shame to have it closed when everyone is in town. So make sure to check it out. It is amazing!

June 29, 2025 - Map, profiles, and stage descriptions have been uploaded. The racer package and weekend schedule will be uploaded within the next week. For now, use these as a guideline: Camping (free and near the race) will open Friday at 3PM, Practice Shuttles will be on Saturday from 1-5, the Race Meeting will be held on Sunday at approximately 8AM, Race approximately 9-12, Lunch and Awards will be approximately between 12-2. Our goal is to have families traveling from out of the area on the road at a decent hour.

March 1, 2025 - Race updates will be posted here. The race page is the official communication for the event. Please check back regularly.
