OUR MISSION

RCMBA builds trails that build community! We are a group of volunteers dedicated to building, maintaining, and advocating for sustainable mountain bike trails and bike parks in the Northern California region. It is our goal to promote opportunities that contribute to an active and healthy community.

All our work is achieved through volunteer efforts! We host trail workdays every month and details, including times and locations, are posted on our website calendar. We encourage you to come out, bring the family, and get involved! It takes a community, and we welcome you to become a part of it.

Agreements

GREEN DIAMOND RESOURCE COMPANY AGREEMENT: We are very grateful for our partnership with Green Diamond Resource Company, a family owned timber company in Northern California and Oregon. On October 18, 2017, we signed an MOU with Green Diamond that allows us to plan and implement MTB purpose-built trails in a designated area of their timberland in Blue Lake, CA. This first-of-its-kind agreement in California is very exciting for both parties involved and was many years in the making.

Thanks to the success of this partnership, we have recently expanded our agreement with Green Diamond that allows access to a portion of their timberland in McKinleyville and we are in the process of designing and building the first MTB-specific legal trails in the area. This land area is within the boundary of the future McKinleyville Community Forest, which will be managed by the McKinleyville Community Services District. We look forward to partnering with them in the future to maintain a robust trail network within the forest.

The nature of our agreement with Green Diamond requires that all riders maintain an active membership to RCMBA for liability purposes. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our agreement.
