Film Submission & Public Screening Disclaimer

By submitting a film, video, or photography for consideration and/or screening at this nonprofit organization’s event, the submitting member acknowledges and agrees to the following:

The submitting member represents that they have necessary rights, permissions, licenses, and authority to submit the film and authorize its public exhibition at this event. The submitting member is responsible for obtaining any required permissions from filmmakers, performers, musicians, copyright holders, locations, or other individual or entities whose work or likeness appears in the submission.

The submitting member understands that the film may be viewed by members of the public as part of a one-time event and that the organization does not guarantee the privacy, confidentiality, or restricted use of the submitted material once it is publicly exhibited.

The nonprofit organization and its volunteers are not responsible for claims, disputes, or liabilities arising from copyright infringement, trademark infringement, defamation, invasion of privacy, unauthorized use of a person’s likeness, or other legal claims resulting from content contained in the submitted film.

The submitting member agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the nonprofit organization, its officers, directors, members, employees, and volunteers from claims arising from the submitting member’s failure to obtain appropriate rights or permissions for the submitted material.

The organization reserves the right to decline, remove, or discontinue the screening of any submission that it believes may violate applicable law, the rights of others, or the organization’s policies.

By submitting the film, video, or photography the submitting member confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this disclaimer and authorize the organization to publicly screen the submitted material at this designated one-time event.
